I suspect it will be a trade and dignitaries only event by invitation only from Emirates.

Got an email from emirates today announcing it opening today! Will be November before I get to experience it. If someone visits soon a review would be gratefully received

Email from Emirates just received indicates that the Chauffeur-drive service is available for journeys of up to 70 miles to/from GLA for business class passengers and 150 miles for First class passengers. Not sure if that is an increase for F. Think I may have to start my journey a bit further from home. 15 minutes max for me door to door!

Yeah I noticed the 150m in F a week or so ago and commented in another thread. Could have sworn it was an increase from before. Oh well.

Wonder who can visit and get some pictures up of the new lounge.

I wonder if they will allow the driver to pickup from across an international border - should one get walloped down there in the near future...

Have asked a couple of media friends who I think were attending if they have any pics to post. One of them is a FTer and is flying out of GLA with EK in the not too distant future so he will certainly post then. Will be good to see how the GLA lounge stacks up soon!

This article gives another nod from Sir Tim of a possible future A380 service to Glasgow

Great photos, thanks for posting; hope it's still as good as it looks when we use it early January!

Superb photos. Lounge looks utterly amazing .. as most of the EK lounges do. Can't wait till 3 weeks today when I fly out and can use it.
