....what's the total time you've been delayed flying EK this year (esp out of Dubai). My total is 2 months.

[BTW - has an EK plane EVER pushed back on time in 2012??]

so you were delayed 4 hours per day every single day of the year?

Edit : 60 days x 24 = 1440hrs delay = 4 hours per day (assuming 365 days in year)

Point is, in 2012 I was delayed a lot by EK. Note their on time departure (OTD) figure for Dec is 63%.

Recent highlights include:

DOH-DXB on 24/12 (delayed 1hr 15mins)
DXB-MAN on 25/12 (delayed 2hrs)
MAN-DXB on 26/12 (delayed 1hr 15mins)
DXB-DOH on 30/12 (delayed 1hr)

Anybody else enjoying this wonderful EK / DXB experience?

FYI - the Emirates OTD (on time departure figure) is a live board displayed in EK HQ showing real-time OTD stats for the month - this is an actual figure.

Are the push back times bad, for sure, will the new terminal help, very likely.

I started flying Emirates March this year and have flown with them around 8 times since (DXB-LHR-DXB). Only been delayed once for roughly an hour.

I have been flying EK for bit over a year, probably have flown about 50 legs total. I can only recall one major delay, that was one of my last flights out of SEA, there was a mechanical problem and we sat on the plane for just about 4 hours before taking off. I can't imagine the people in Y being all too happy, but I was comfortably asleep during those 4 hours in my F suite.

Well simple maybe you should look up irony, unless you are saying you actually suffered no delay, as I don't see much irony just some sarcasm but not much humour! Maybe it is you that has an irony deficiency!
