I did notify EK, no reply yet. Seeing as RichL also had this problem, it seems like they don't care.

P.S: I did ask them to reset it, it fixed the problem for barely 5 minutes but as soon as the crew member left, the problem started again.

That's actually disappointing. I'm sure other people must have complained as well, but they still haven't fixed it. They didn't even reply to my email.

Engineering might not care, but Customer Affairs may throw you something to make you feel better I found it took a week or so to reply.

I didn't really mind though. I was flying EK-612 which is barely a 3 hour flight so it didn't bother me much.
Besides, I get thrown a lot of things, mainly little EK gifts (backpacks, EK coffee mugs etc) from the District Sales Manager in Pakistan.

Question seat configuration list for a380

According to the Emirates timetable there are 5 different seat configs for the A380s.

Is there a list by aircraft registration which aircraft has which config.?
According to the timetable Seat config 3 & seat config 4 are both F14J76Y427 and have F 1-4 seats nos; J 6-26 seat nos and Y 41-88 so cannot see the difference?

I'm not sure about 5 configs unless some 2 class routes are showing, although the planes have not been delivered yet.

The 4 configs I'm aware of are 2 each of Long Range and Ultra Long Range, as outlined in post #1 of this thread. Rows 41 and 42 and the centre section of 85 to 88 are missing from the Ultra Long Range version.

The other difference is that on the newer planes (A6-EEU on I think), Economy Class has 2 extra seats at Row 80 A and K.

I hope, this can help you:

"Actually EK have 4 diferent A380 cabin layout:

ULH Fleet:

F14 C76 Y399 and F14 C76 Y401

LH Fleet:

F14 C76 Y427 and F14 C76 Y429

Soon they will have one more cabin layout when they get the A380 with C + Y only."

Question

In the printed timetable pages 290 *( config 3) & 291 *(Config 4) both configs are three class, both have Y427 and both have Y starting at row 41 with no seats at 80A & 80K.
Config 1 has Y399
Config 2 has Y401
Config 3 has Y427
Config 4 has Y427
Config 5 has Y429

A380 maintenance

According to EK source, a couple of A380s are going back into maintenance (e.g. EDA, very soon after its 3C check; it's back and now EDC is in) in Abu Dhabi. Anyone knows what's going on - is this for the doors?

That`s correct; they have some kind of troubles with the doors; I can`t explain exactly what the issue is.

Maintenance work is done in AUH and BOD.

So far EDA and EDB habe already fixed it, EDC is currently in AUH and another one, I don`t know the registration is in BOD

It seems that the A340/500 A6-ERE isn`t flying anymore.

So; there`s only 2 A345 remaining in the fleet; A6-ERB and A6-ERJ.

Think you mean ERB in the second sentence.
