Just thought I'd let you all know what happened to my flight in the end: no problems being a Silver for check-in on 30 Jun, but my connection at DXB was departing more than 24 hours later so I had to re check-in at DXB (with luggage), and at DXB I was reminded that I dropped back to Blue by the check-in staff. I sort of pleaded my case (when I got my boarding pass for the connecting flight which was on 2 Jul it still showed Silver with lounge access) and thankfully she allowed that extra luggage to go through.
When I arrived at my destination though, the system reviewed my flights in the past 12 months and I was automatically re-enroled & qualified for Silver instead of at the end of this month.
