Yes, one of the possible routes in 1Q 2010 could be EK763/764.
I believe there is a decent chance we will see one of the JNB flights (EK763/764 most probably) that will upgrade to A380 on a full time basis sometime in 2010.
FINALLY! Hope this works out. I hate taking a connecting flight from KIX to HND.
you and 100,000 others! it's suchhhhh a pain to do that transfer from kix to hnd or nrt. after a 10hr flight the last thing you want is to get on another flight and worry about connections and lost bags.
i've also heard that etihad is vying for NRT since etihad is the national carrier of uae (not EK). and that EK was going for HND. Emirates777, can you shed some light on this?

tia!
I highly doubt HND, as NRT handles all the 'intl' traffic into Tokyo. As far as I know, HND only handles domestic and Korea, but I may be wrong.

There is the odd Shanghai and Hong Kong as well as Korea. I flew into HND from Sapporo on a 747 with JAL so it certainly has the capacity, if EK managed to do it, they would make a killing on on the smaller Japenese Cities with no international links...

Once the 4th runway opens in HND, it will begin accepting International traffic, including long-haul flights from Spring 2010. However, international flights will be scheduled between 2300 and 0700.
As for Emirates and ETIHAD, they don't have access to HND. Only NRT was granted.
From October Rome FCO increases from Daily to 12x per week. New extra flight Nr. EK095/6. Aircraft A330 (5x per week) in addition to EK097/8 - Aircraft B77W (7x per week)
