New 777-300ER - Wow!

Just got off EK 002 from Heathrow (A6-EBY reg AFIAK) and was really impressed by the new EK seats. I'll be posting a full trip report later.

A few things to note:

- it is very easy to get in/out of the middle seats
- seat is at an angle but it's not really noticeable. You certainly don't find yourself "slipping off."
- massage function was amazing

On a related note... they seemed to have gotten rid of the bedrooms in the J lounge at DXB. I've been rotting here for 6hrs and still have 2 more to go. We've hijacked the quiet area and used the footstools and armchairs to make nice beds

Cheers,

Is it similar to the A340-500?

J class seats in A340 are different than the 777. Somehow, I managed to get really comfy in the A340 even though it wasn't a lie flat seat.

The new seats aren't like the A345 ones. They're a new generation angled lie-flat one. For those who haven't seen heres a pic I found

777u

Hi Sadiq,
Going RTW for the 3rd time on EK in first ( getting Jaded) Next segment is LHR-DXB in July. ex LHR flt 2 & 30 show 777ULR as oppose to 777W or 777ER.
Are those the planes with the 1-2-1 in first???

Thanks again for your help!
