Flights from Ben Gurion Airport to England
A technological inspection (x-ray) of hand luggage including shoe inspection.
Passengers flying from Ben Gurion Airport to England who are connecting from there on another flight to any other world destination; as well as passengers flying from England to Ben Gurion Airport, may carry only one piece of hand-luggage, with dimensions no larger than 35 cm X 45 cm X 16 cm.

From what I read in EL AL's site it isn't clear
