First emergency landing in a 747 (LY082)
Hi all,
I thought I'd share my experience with you all (and a video that I've finally got around to uploading onto youtube).
About 30 mins out of Tel Aviv, while flying up the Red Sea, the captain of the El Al 747-400 (LY082 from BKK) came over the PA and announced that there was a minor issue with one of the wheels and that we would be met by the fire brigade on landing.
In the end, we landed and after a brief stay off in the middle of no where (where I assume the wheels were inspected), we went to the terminal and disembarked.

"Rishon Letsion" and we arrived in TLV on Sunday 29th June. I did a quick google but didn't find anything about any problems.
I guess they were just being cautious (which I appreciate!)

Thanks for sharing - I like how it appears that the plane is running away from the cops who are chasing it!
