B6 and LY established interline ticketing in 2010, today's action, if approved, will build on that. (B6 has a very limited number of interline ticketing agreements.)

Although no mention is made of frequent flier benefits, IMO, it is likely that one will be able to earn B6 miles for code-shared LY flights and visa-versa.

AA & LY rekindle codeshare?

I saw this posted on Airliners.net, but I haven't been able to verify it anywhere on the web.

Maybe some of you will have better luck.

If this is the case, it hasn't loaded into AA's system yet...

LY and AA shrink codeshare agreement

LY will also have their code on AA flights from Europe to the U.S.
There will be no FFP agreement or code sharing for us domestic flights.

So can I earn AA miles on those flights and will they be elite qualifying?

You couldn't earn EQMs before the shrinking of the codeshare agreement, so even if you can earn miles, I highly doubt they will be EQMs

LY metal and code = no miles.

AA metal and LY code = no miles.

LY metal and AA code = RDM only, based on the AA chart.

In regard to AA-coded flights: EQM is earned only if the flight is operated by AA, OneWorld partners or Alaska airlines.
