I wouldn't be surprised if they also start flying ELH to JFK as well. A decade ago they converted ELA and ELB into the same high density Y config that ELH currently has. Since now is the high season and they desperately need capacity its entirely possible that ELH will become somewhat of a regular on the JFK run.

Neither ELE nor ELH have the "bed like" seats which are essentially the old seats slightly mechanically retrofitted to recline further.
Also, EL AL advertised that all flights from JFK will have the "bed like" seats in C and yet ELH is occasionally used on the JFK run. Last night's flight 008 was operated by ELH, and it's scheduled back in NY in a few days.

Anyone know if they plan to "upgrade" the 777. While the new beds aren't great, after flying them for awhile and then getting stuck on a 777 you realize that they are much better than the tilted beds. AND now, my Dec. flight is again a 777. ugh!

I think they mean the recently 'refurbished' 747s.
I don't know about row 10 from a business class perspective, but I think they have one seat less across than in the rest of the cabin (2-2-2 instead of 2-3-2). I guess it is probably quieter than the rest of the cabin as well, but I have never tried it.
I can tell you that the First Class in them is now worse than pathetic. You need to climb over the row 10 business class passengers to get to the toilets. The much vaunted 'mini bar' where first class passengers 'can help themselves to a wide choice of drinks' is used as newspaper storage by the crew ... sigh ... EL AL, It's not an airline, it's Israel. You bet it is.
