Pt cruiser and sebring sedan

I haven't rented with Dollar for years but the last time I was given a PT Cruiser and after 1 day I swapped it for a Sebring. There were no problems changing it but it is obviously hassle I want to avoid.

So if anyone has used Dollar recently, do they still offer you the choice of the Cruiser or Sebring in the 4 door intermediate class?
Do they let you choose which of the 2 cars you want?

There are 3 adults in my party and there is so much more room and comfort in the Sebring. The PT cruiser should be in the Compact class!

The PT cruiser is a piece of scheisse. I rented one from Dollar in LAS and the transmission fell out on Paradise rd not 5 minutes after I left the facility..and they tried to blame me for it!

I really wish Dollar didn't use so many Chrysler products.

Did you choose the Cruiser or did they just give you the keys to it?

I have actually requested that I don't want the Cruiser on my car hire voucher so, fingers crossed, I will get the Sebring.

Frankly, they BOTH suck.

The Sebring is an underpowered eyesore with a plastic toy steering wheel.

The PT cruiser is about as reliable as a Coby dvd player.

Pretty Terrible Car. Unfortunately, it is sometimes the only vehicle type they have left. I'd downgrade rather than getting stuck with one again. (I haven't had a rental car that hurt my back in a long time, but the PT cruiser -- 2 different rentals) managed to do just that. Add in the generally shoddy finish and the abysmal rear sight lines, and it is a just plain lose as a car.
