obscure2k, I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's illness and the difficulty you encountered at my almost-least-favorite airport. I hope the rest of your trip is/was much, much better!

Thanks, Katja. His illness left him with weak legs. He can walk slowly which is what he did in VCE. We had a great time. It is only when walking a long distance that he has difficulty. Thus, the need for airport assistance and for the first time we used water taxis in VCE on a couple of occasions to go to restaurants. The slippery metal stairs at CDG were really scary
