I think I've been to the Biryani Cart - but then all the carts sort of look the same to me, so I'd have to go and do a doubletake to make sure -- I've pretty much been to all the acclaimed ones in Midtown:
Quote:
A husband-and-wife duo from Brooklyn known for their delectable street tacos and peerless quesadillas were crowned the best vendors in the city Saturday.
Fernando and Yolanda Martinez's Country Boys cart won the highly coveted Vendy Award after sizzling and stirring their way to culinary perfection at the Queens Museum of Modern Art in Corona.
"We are so happy to know that the people love our food," said Fernando Martinez, who serves up traditional Mexican treats at the Red Hook ballfield near Clinton and Bay Sts. "We just feel loved and appreciated right now."
The fifth annual Vendy Awards was a sellout success, with more than 660 people buying $80 tickets for the chance to sample cuisine from the city's top sidewalk chefs. There was an open bar and free food served by 11 city street cart vendors, all of whom made it to the finals in an online vote.
"Look at me - don't I look like a king?" said Fares Zeizaies, 43, the self-proclaimed King of Falafel, who has doled out falafels to satisfied customers at 30th St. and Broadway in Astoria for seven years. "After looking at the competition, we decided to just nominate ourselves and call ourselves 'kings of falafel.'"
For the second straight year, Meru Sikder's Biryani Cart took home the People's Taste Award.
Sikder serves Indian delicacies, such as Kati rolls, from his cart on 46th St. and Sixth Ave. in midtown.
Oleg Boss and Jared Greenhouse, operators of Schnitzel and Things, an Austrian food truck, claimed the Rookie of the Year Award, and the Best Dessert Award went to Wafels & Dinges.
Check out WafelsandDinges.com to find out where Thomas DeGeest's truck, offering sweet and savory waffles, can be located.

Haven't been able to find a real 'list'; if I do, I will post it.
On a side note, I've been here for over 13 years and never knew there were food carts outside Manhattan.
