As one who adores fresh battered corn dogs, #48 sounds very interesting...

They all sound pretty horrific, but #47 has got to be the worst. Foul...

#48 would be nice, also love a Scotch egg so I'd be all up on that, although that particular one would be all kinds of deadly!

I suspect a wide angle lens would be needed by the photographer and a landscape view required by the viewer.

Thankfully, the pizza we ate for lunch was not on a stick nor was it fried. As it is a requirement of all fair attendees to eat at leat one item on a stick, we did share one of the frozen chocolate covered banana and strawberries on-a-stick and it was delicious. The strawberries were huge and perfect.

Ah, yes, Virginia, where if you can't deep-fry it, it isn't really food...

You got that right. As for that 67% of Americans who are classified as overweight or obese and who claim it's "genetics," here's the real answer....

Isn't corn on the cob already corn on a stick, thus making #18 corn on a stick on a stick?

Not quite always. While I have no personal experience, I understand that corn dogs served in correctional institutions do not have a stick.

But, at a state fair...... certainly on a stick.

I heard on the news a few weeks ago that one fair was deep frying sticks of butter. Yes, butter. No word on whether you had to eat them while sitting in an ambulance.

Wouldn't the butter melt out yielding an empty fried rectangle?

That's the Wisconsin State Fair, not the Virginia one, mind.
