it is very delicious. my brother and I flew into LAX last week, rented a car and drove out to PSP for the Coachella music festival. My brother had already printed out map quest directions from LAX to a nearby In and Out then onward to our hotel in Palm Springs. This was after the 4 course meal we had eaten on our way out there. ridiculous
My opinion of their fries changes each time I have them. Though they are always horrible if more than 5 minutes old
New In-n-Outers...Note this extremely important fact. This is my main problem with In-n-Out-It makes poor takeout food since the fries get terrible quickly. Otherwise, its delicious
So is 9:45-10:54 enough time at LAX to go to In N Out, make it back to the airport on time, and make a connection on time? Connection from UA to UAX/SkyWest.

1:09 is not going to cut it in my opinion
-up to 10 min to wait for parking spot shuttle
-7-10 min drive to lot
-20 min wait to order and get food (this in and hot is pretty popular and i have waited there for longer then 20 minutes for food. don't forget, everything is fresh)

that's an hour before you even get back to the terminal.
it's definitely great food and worth the trip, but not worth missing a flight. i would allow at least two hours since you want to eat it there to avoid soggy fries.

And this part can take even longer, if a big group comes in just ahead of you (as happened on my last visit, when a high school sports team came in when I was there - some of those people waited a half-hour or longer to receive their food).

Any way you look at it you are taking a chance. I've found the one at 4705 S. Maryland Pkwy. , Las Vegas, Nevada 89119 to be the closest and usually the fastest. The only way I would try it is in a cab, eating on the way back. Don't know if you can find a driver that will allow that though.

Just saw this thread again, I waited for about 10 minutes in line at the drive-thru and then about 5 minutes for my food. Oh how it was worth it! 4x2, animal style, protein style, fries, and a lemonade. YUM!!!

Reality check time
In-N-Out is good for a CHAIN burger, there is far better to be had out there in independent foodland if one looks around. Problem is most people don’t so they think In-N-Out is a great burger.
Unless the cook doesn’t know how to cook or absolute crap meat is used, a charcoal grilled burger will always triumph a flat top grilled burger cooked to the near well done that an In-N-Out burger and most chain burgers are.
Not all folks are going to have a good independent option near them as we’ve become infatuated with chain everything: coffee, clothing, food etc etc. but as stated above most folks simply haven’t tried other places so they don’t know what’s out there. Keep searching, far better is to be had.
