Montgomery County liquor stores carry it. I've seen it in Rockville just a few weeks ago.

I agree. Unfortunately, it can also be very hard to find.

And here's another vote for Russkij Standart Platinum. Great stuff!

I also like Absolut Kurant. I'm the only one. I'm the guy they make it for.
Yep, you must be the only one. I like currants so I bought a bottle and made one drink. Been collecting dust ever since.

Ketel One is not available in Finland, AFAIK. However, whenever I see ads for it in international magazines, I can't help but giggle: for some reason the name sounds like an industrial cleaner or solvent to me

I am not a great vodka drinker, but smoothness-wise it is hard to beat pure 96 % alcohol diluted with cranberry juice. Just don't try it neat...

Cheers,
T.

You've got one of the nicer vodkas mentioned in this thread! All Finlandia is is Koskenkorva without the little bit of sugar!

As I remember, the myth was busted. Jamie and the spirits expert were both able to rank the vodkas in order of quality after the triple filtering.

Their filter isn't as good as my filter.
