Jakes in the Midnight Star casino in Deadwood ,South Dakota was fantastic. It's owned by Kevin Costner and run by his brother. Try the Buffalo Carpaccio.
Ortolan, owned by Jeri Ryan (ex-Borg and now on the show with James Woods) and her husband Chef Christophe Eme, is one of the best restaurants in LA, "celebrity" or not. $$$$
The only celebrity restaurant that I have actually enjoyed is the Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas. http://www.cabowabo.com/cwa/index.php? Great food and drinks. Ceviche and Stuffed Mushroom appetizers are amazing. I also had some kind of Filet of Beef or Beef Tenderloin, however it wasn't really filet mignon tenderloin...maybe mock tenderloin or sirloin? But flavor was out of this world. Way to go Sammy Haagar!!!
Sammy is opening a Cabo Wabo in Fresno, about 1 mile south of the Fresno State campus. Looks like the opening will be in December.

I ate at Michael Jordan's restaurant in Grand Central and had steak. I was surprised as I was expecting the worst because people select such restaurants for reasons other than the food, which usually means the food is not good. It was excellent.
I've been seriously underwhelmed by Shula's in Key West and Miami, had a chance to under-appreciate Harry Caray's, and actually enjoyed Yao Ming's family place and the cheap eats at one of Dat Nguyen's (former Dallas Cowboy and about the only ethnic Vietnamese football star) little chain of oriental eateries in South Texas. Cabo Wabo needed a lot of California customers, 'cuz on my visit it sure couldn't have made it trying to convince Mexicans or educated tourists that those were good Mexican recipes well-prepared. The questioned "filet" was likely a tenderloin from a Mexican "Corriente", with which there's nothing wrong, simply the unmarbeled leaness of grass-fed range cattle not stuffed like foi gras geese in a feedlot.
Most celeb eateries tend to the over-pretententious or end up descending to the fate of the old Jack Dempsey's in NYC.
The Hog's Breath Inn (Formerly owned by Clint Eastwood) in Carmel, CA (Palm Springs area) is always quite good. He doesn't own it anymore but it hasn't changed too much and he still visits from time to time.
Elway's in Denver is quite popular, and I'd give it a sold "B" as it just feels a bit "chain-y" for my taste. It is a good place to see the city's "pretty people," however, if you're into that sort of thing. A second, downtown location (at the new Ritz-Carlton up on Curtis St. in the former Embassy Suites site) is in the works, in addition to the original in Cherry Creek.
Old Number 7 is a pretty savvy businessman, having built a small empire of car dealerships that he sold at a handsome profit.

Had dinner at the Cherry Creek Elway's just last Saturday 03NOV and our party of 4 enjoyed the meal and the service. Steaks were very good and they have a nice wine list.
Bull's Barbeque at Citizens Bank Park in PHL is good - Greg Luzinski is typically there cooking.
Good one. Does every park have a retired player pushing BBQ? My last three ballpark visits I saw Sanguillen in Pittsburgh, Bull in PHL, and I always get the ribs from Boog's BBQ before games at Camden Yards (Boog Powell, Baltimore). My guess is that the new DC park will have Frank Howard's BBQ.

I came to post Seau's.. place is awesome. Laid back, excellent food, good prices.

I've heard about Seau's listening to sports radio in SoCal and finally had the chance to try it the other day for lunch. We had a nice table right in front of the big screen and enjoyed watching the games. I had the mixed teriyaki plate, which was pretty much a Hawaiian-style plate lunch. It was tasty and reasonably-priced as well.

I live in STL...hope this is a joke. Mediocre food all around, would go for the bar during Cards season, but otherwise, worth passing up. Albert Pujols has a place nearby that i've heard decent things about, never been there myself though.
