I'm a sorbet fan myself. However, I really like riso gelato.

Green tea is also a fave for me.

Fruit flavors: freshly made peach, strawberry and raspberry ice cream are not bad either. We have an il gelatio machine from the 80's that makes some pretty mean ice creams.

Deep, dark chocolate fudge from B-R. But with my lactose intolerance I live to regret it.

Nothing compares to Berthillon's caramel in Paris - except, perhaps, all their other flavors!

For "domestic" brands:, Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia and, a little obscure, perhaps would be Rockford, Illinois' own Muller-Pinehurst Spumoni Swirl!

Chocolate chocolate chunk from Graeters! Especially right after Easter when it's filled with leftover chocolate rabbit ears!

They are based out of Cinti, but have expanded into Columbus & Dayton OH. You can mail order it from www.graeters.com but I think it's a min. of either 6 or 12 pints. It is wonderful, though!

When my family was in NYC last year, after going out to eat at a restaurant on Coney Island Ave (in Flatbush?), we stopped by an ice cream store (corner of Coney Island Ave. and ??? Street). Their cookies and cream ice cream was just delicious!
