A bit off topic, but when I get my free drink at Dunkin Donuts, I always order something large and expensive.

Surprised that DD hasn't entered into the coffee conversation (on this thread).

I always get a venti something on a rewards order. It's free (as in no out of pocket expense) so I make the most of it!

Until I read this thread, I thought it was a free drink, not a free item. Is there a $ conversion for food or is it just any item free?

Used to be free drink only. Now includes food as well. Basically, good for any individual item with a few exceptions. (beer, wine, loaf bread... stuff not found at my normal Starbucks).

When they purchased Teavana program was expanded to include 1 oz loose tea and drinks brewed in Teavana store.

So as someone mentioned, the Monkey picked teas are a great redemption value at $12/oz, but food items in the $5-6 range are also good. Check out the latest novelty snacks display. I love the Firecracker dark chocolate bars.

No, where I come from we drink coffee and use actual words to describe what we order

(I did enjoy a line from the link you provided - "Unable to find any hot water for his instant coffee, he mixed it with cold water in a shaker." My suspicions about starbucks are confirmed!)

I wonder if this guy is on Flyertalk:

http://mashable.com/2014/05/28/most-...arbucks-drink/

His rewards drink would have cost $54.75.

New good redemption value: Noble Pig Chocolate Library $9.95 (three small Mo's chocolate bars with bacon) Not as healthy as my other recent favorite (Moon Cheese), but bacon and dark chocolate.. yum!
