Looks lovely, UK1. I wish my husband would cook for me. Toast is about his limit
We had avocado, mozzarella and tomato salad with home made cheese and onion bread.

We have been extraordinarilly fortunate. The honest answer is "Yes I do"!
Firstly we're lunch rather than dinner people.
Secondly, I know this sounds almost unbelievable - but we have been very fortunate and I have cooked lunch for us for every meal (except when we eat out or travel) for every single lunch of our very long marriage.
... or on the back of a boat ...
Whereever we are I spend most of my time thinking about LUNCH!
Anyway I'm on my way over ......
.... and I know it's repetitive but we're having dry aged Sirloin Paninis with fries again today ... with a bottle of Pecheur.

Made a big pot of chilli for a chilly day.
The wife doesn't like hot food so I shall have some with a baked potato this evening and freeze the rest.

Wife doesn't like hot food???! What is she, Paleolithic?
It's just too hot here...that's why I'm drinking rosé.

I told my other half that I would make anything he wanted if he went to the store and got the ingredients. So, I made bowtie pasta with vodka sauce (and I threw in some chicken sausage we had) and garlic bread.
And rosé. Because...rosé.

Cassie is too busy recovering from heat stroke to cover anything (ooo-err).
Yesterday was my husband's birthday and he insisted on having his favourite steak and mushroom pie (he should have been born in the winter). Luckily it was a bit cooler but was still hot work.
Bruschetta to start then another favourite, Victoria sponge for dessert.
I took him out for brunch at a very posh restaurant in the morning so I wasn't cooking all day. A 6 course taster menu. Very nice

Rock barnacles. I ordered as a novelty just to try but it turned out to be one of the most succulent things I've had all year. Just close your eyes good
