Had a slice of crustless Splenda pumpkin pie with whipped cream for lunch (didn't want to spoil an early pre-theater dinner planned for this evening). Surprisingly tasty and guilt free.

Beef tacos, beans, yellow rice. I am forever grateful to the Old El Paso folks for making self-standing taco shells.

Banner day yesterday, practically cooked or prepared all day.
Fried salt pork belly and home made buttermilk biscuits, then grilled bacon cheeseburgers and a fruit pavlova later in the day.
Only about a million calories by the end of the day.

Homemade Pastitsio (plus salad) - enough to feed a small army. You are all invited.

I stopped at Cano, a Puerto Rican take out place on the way home from a doctor's appointments. The plate of the day was rice with sausage, a very garlicky roasted pork & onions and buttered corn.
Cano, according to a Puerto Rican co-worker means blond. This little trailer held 4 people; the owner, his wife, her mother and their daughter in very close quarters. None are blond(e) but the daughter is stunning and I would gladly share the small trailer with her.
I'm afraid it would be cold by the time I got there. Also finished. But thanks for the invite.
