Bars and Restaurants in Skyscrapers

Some of my favorite memories of different places I've been has been having a drink with a friend at the highest bar or restaurant in the city. In Shanghai, that was Cloud 9. In Dubai it was Neos at The Address. In Stockholm, Restaurang Himlen fits the bill. I only recently started doing this, so I wanted to ask the FT Dining Collective: What are the highest bars or restaurants that you know of in each city? I'm looking for places that are perched above a city with great views, preferably as high up as you can get.

Legend:
[T] Communication/Observation Tower, not a Skyscraper
[V] Because of special view (river front, perched on mountain/hill, etc)
[M] Membership required; Members only.
[R] Revolving Restaurant/Bar
[FT] Contributed by FT members
[FT*] Recommended by FT members
[FTX] NOT Recommended by FT members
[In] From an Internet Source. Not mentioned by FT members. May not be vetted.
Feet to floors is calculated at a generic 11 feet per floor.

Example:
[In, T, R, ~150m]: This entry came from an internet source and is a revolving restaurant/bar 150 meters up in a communication/observation tower.
[V, M, FT*]: This entry is recommended by a FT member, but is members only and may be in a low rise with a specific view, such as over a river or of a specific landmark.

Singapore's new Altitude Bar is an amazing rooftop bar. The other amazing rooftop bar is at SwissHotel. IIRC, it's 80 floors to the top. On some nights, they migrate the entire bar to the Helipad.

Kuala Lumpur's (Malaysia) Trader Hotel Sky Bar is breathtaking. It has a perfect view of the world-famous Petronas Towers. I can't remember how many floors up it is, but it's quite a few.

Portland (Oregon) has a terrific view from Portland City Grill. I think it's 30 floors up and overlooks the river and the mountain.

I'll keep thinking about other ones I've been to. Fun idea!

Canoe in Toronto (54th floor) is good, really good service, nice food, great wine selection.

360 (revolving restaurant at the top of the CN Tower) not great IMO - although it is a few years since I went and have been told it has improved.

I was at 360 by request of out of town relatives last month, it is not in the same league as Canoe.
However the rotating view is better.

Cool L.A.

The BonaVista at the Bonaventure in L.A. is a great memory for me! Was there back in 1981, late at night. Had some sort of rum punch and the glass was mine to keep. A large ceramic "Tweety Bird". All these years later I still have it. Was good to plant an aloe in....

Nice to remember 30 years ago when I was a young, cute travelling nurse. Good memories......

Dined at the back then East Berlin TV Tower in May 1989. Menu was a mix of German and Soviet Russian and the wines ditto East German Rieslings and Soviet sparkling wine. Must have changed a bit?

At the Park Hyatt, AFAIK, only hotel guests are let in the bar on weekends if no dinner reservation at the restaurant. And there is a minimum spend of around 150RMB on weekdays for non-guests.

But still a good place for a drink or two and selected nibbles. However, I wouldn't venture into the restaurant for taste, more to impress Chinese customers.

Great thread! I am a big fan of "sky bars" and tend to look for them wherever I go.

My contributions:

Aqua and Felix in Hong Kong are also worth visiting. (my preference goes to Aqua).

And as others have already mentioned the Banyan Tree in Bangkok as well as Swissotel (the Stamford) in Singapore are great for drinks with a view.

Ritz Carlton Pudong in Shanghai

Flair (58th floor) at the ritz has a real nice outdoor lounge with great views of the Pearl Tower
