At home, Trader Joe's Latin Style Black Bean Soup is a staple. I also hit up the local pho places quite often, and when in Thailand I eat tom yum goong just about every day.

I love soup, especially with good crusty bread, a bit of salad and a nice ale.

My favorites are my wife's leek & potato, broccoli & stilton, and her tomato soup!

I just had a Greek egg-lemon soup for lunch. One of those dishes of classic simplicity that you never get tired of, though it has to be made just right.

I need to make a pot of good homemade Lentil Soup w/sausage. I love it with plenty of vinegar.

I just returned from 4 weeks in Vietnam, and can happily report that the Vietnamese are superb soup cooks - normally made to order, and perfectly seasoned (not to mention inexpensive).

While I appreciate hearty stews, clam chowder, and tom kha, most soups are too thin for my taste.

That's case for homemade. No one has ever complained that one of my soups was too thin. In fact, I usually have to add stock to any that remains the second day.

I'm sitting at Paradise Bakery right now enjoying some "Country Potato" soup. The silly sever actually asked me if I wanted bacon...is there any answer but yes?

I do like soup. Tends to be high sodium though, so it's not an every day thing. Your soup does sound good Missy. I'll be expecting some on my next flight. :P

I love soup. I've made chicken soup, squash soup, and french onion before. Chicken soup being the easiest and the french onion being the most technically advanced.

Problem with soup, though, is you have to make huge batches of it or it's really not worth your effort. And I don't do well with leftovers. I almost always end up throwing them away.
