At home, Trader Joe's Latin Style Black Bean Soup is a staple. I also hit up the local pho places quite often, and when in Thailand I eat tom yum goong just about every day.

I need to make a pot of good homemade Lentil Soup w/sausage. I love it with plenty of vinegar.
I just returned from 4 weeks in Vietnam, and can happily report that the Vietnamese are superb soup cooks - normally made to order, and perfectly seasoned (not to mention inexpensive).

I'm sitting at Paradise Bakery right now enjoying some "Country Potato" soup. The silly sever actually asked me if I wanted bacon...is there any answer but yes?

I love soup. I've made chicken soup, squash soup, and french onion before. Chicken soup being the easiest and the french onion being the most technically advanced.
Problem with soup, though, is you have to make huge batches of it or it's really not worth your effort. And I don't do well with leftovers. I almost always end up throwing them away.
