Picked up a bunch of stuff that was marked down at HEB by 50%+ or more:
Goliad Redfish IPA ($4 for 6 pack)
Lagunitas 12th of Never APA ($8 for 12 pack)
Odell Drumroll APA ($5 for 6 pack)
St. Arnold's Pumpkinator also came out this week so picked up a bomber of that. Probably going to grab a couple more to age.

Lagunitas Tuberfest
Great Lakes Oktoberfest
Paulner Oktoberfest
Unsurprisingly Paulner takes the cake.

I was taken out last night to Pensacola Bay Brewery. I enjoyed their Blackbeard stout and really enjoyed the Treasure Grove (the bartender called it T Grove) Pale Ale. As citrusy a brew as I've ever tasted.

BamaVol, you'll be pleased to know that this is finally being distributed in Colorado. FIL Swede picked up three bottles at my local liquor store yesterday.
Now I'll be searching for the Rum Cask variety.

Besides being good beer, every time I buy one, I feel like I'm supporting clan Gunn in some small way - the clan of my Grandfather, Francis Aloysius Gunn (I don't know anything about the Innis's, but I'm sure they're fine folks too).

Moosehead Lager. I wish this iconic Canadian lager that was founded the same year as the country was born was more reasonably priced but its almost the same or more than the imports.

Finally was able to crack open one of these 750ml bottles last night...
A very tasty beer. Not quite Innis & Gunn Rum Cask good, but very good.

BamaVol Jr #1 arrived last night. He brought a few beers from Huntsville. I tried a Citrus Wit brewed at Straight to Ale. It was not especially citrusy but there was something in there to beat down the wheat flavor that keeps me from enjoying the style most of the time.
I also had a pear cider. I only tried my first cider this week, an Angry Orchard. I like the low alcohol content but I'm not crazy about the pear flavor. I think I'll stick to apple ciders in the future.

If you want to try a better pear cider, try Magners.
Right now I have a 6 pack of Brooklyn Lager in my fridge.

I have a growler of Karbach Honey Jasmine Saison that I picked up last night for only $6 during a bar's "Bye Karbach" sale to clear out their stock.
It was announced yesterday that Karbach was selling out to AB Inbev, so this bar announced $1 drafts and $6 growler fills until they get rid of their whole stockpile. I was happy to help
RIP Karbach http://www.houstoniamag.com/articles...ton-hoppin-mad

A local craft bar (called The Craft Bar, ironically) charges the same price for a pint as they charge for a crowler. One or the other seems out of line given the difference in sizes.
We are going liquor shopping this morning. Who knows what we'll come back with.

I'm always hesitant on pumpkin beers. In theory I think I'm going to like them, but more often than not end up pouring them. This year I keep reminding myself and haven't made a purchase of one yet.
Having Oskar blues death by coconut tonight. Not bad, but can't really have more than one or two.

Other bombers I have in the fridge are:
Abita Strawgator
Sierra Nevada 2016 Estate Homegrown IPA
Real Ale 20th Anniversary Rye IPA
I might have the Real Ale tonight as a reward if I finish the crap I've been putting off.
