Last night presented with a six-pack of Tuatara APA, from New Zealand. Here, APA = Aotearoa Pale Ale .

An exotic guest in my fridge, for sure. Will report after tasting.

"Tom Collins, an assistant professor of wine and grape chemistry at Washington State University, has studied the effects of barrel aging on wine and more recently on spirits."

You can't ask for a better name for a professor in that field!

Drinking some Speight's Cider now; just finished off the six pack a few minutes ago. A nice cider.

I've got some Duncan's "Founders 2009 I.P.A." in the fridge for the next day or two. Pretty good, fairly hoppy and malty.

Rekorderlig. I tried this in the UK and now I'm hooked. I'm glad that I can find it here in the US albeit in cans.

Monteith's Crushed Apple Cider. Very light and clear cider, not really very tart, but very tasty.

If you stock that for guests, remind me to book a weekend visiting you.

Picked up a 4-pack of Great Divide Hercules DIPA. Have generally enjoyed their beers, although at 10% ABV, it's a strong one. I also have a Grassroots Brewing Brother Soigne that a coworker gave to me and has raved about. I'm not the biggest sour guy but will be interested to try that out as well.

Sampling some Alley Kat Aprikat which is a local brewery's wheat beer with an apricot flavour. It sneaks up on you.

Yesterday I picked up some 20 oz tallboys of Karbach Rodeo Clown at Costco for only $2.99. Considering 12 oz cans typically retail for $2.50 ($10 per 4 pack) it struck me as a decent deal.

My local liquor stores carries them in cans and bottles; although, using a cents per ounce comparison, the cans are much cheaper.

I had a Fat Tire with my home-cooked steak dinner on Saturday night. It was good.
