Beer by Costco only.

Stella and Corona. Can't beat the price at Costco.

Fantastic beer. Enjoy it as it has become both hard to find and expensive. I had my first taste of it in June at the DFH brew pub in Dewey, one of the best IPA's ever.

Costco Stella in mine, although my wife says I have to replace the Peroni she bought since I placed the beer in the freezer to chill quickly and then found the Stella already chilled. I went to bed and woke up yesterday to find the frozen Peroni.

$6 per 6-pack is my value threshold. For all you folks drinking the Belgian ales, I drink my share when in Benelux region and the price is 75 cents to $1 a bottle.

I love trips to Prague and Budapest where beer is good and cheap.
Buenos Aires Stella Artois 1L bottles for under US$1 is a great vacation.

Canada, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand vacations bust the budget.

Scandinavia almost turns me into a puritan.

Currently nothing! Not that it's going to be filled with such anytime soon.

I used to have this same attitude until I discovered I could get as much enjoyment out of a $8-15 bottle of beer as I do out of a bottle of wine. I'd have no problem spending $30 on a bottle of wine, only to have 1/3 of it typically go to waste since I live alone. With a 22 oz. bottle of beer I don't have this problem.

That's true; it's been pointed out by several folks in the beer industry such as Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and those who cover the beer industry like Stephen Beaumont that to buy the best wines in the world you're spending somewhere north of $500 per bottle. Yet $20-$30 can buy a bottle of one of the world's finest beers to enjoy -- if it's a 750ml or 22 oz. bottle as is common at this level, to share -- and have a taste experience that's easily the equal of good wine. (I'm leaving the Samuel Adams Utopias I described earlier in the thread out of this discussion as an exception to my argument)

My beer fridge is looking a bit depleted at the moment but hopefully with the holidays over the world's brewers will resume sending me samples to refill it.

Yes, it is good to be the beerwriter, sometimes.

I might be assuming too much, but what were your thoughts on the Samuel Adams Utopias?
