What is so terrible about calling them ? I think the number is 800- 2- DINERS. Customer Service has always been prompt and helpful. If your most recent points aren't yet online it seems that would be the quickest route.

no, it is not so bad to call them, but it would be a lot easier to check online.
I use Myciti (free) to log in all of my FF #, it automatically updates daily. all I have to do is to log in to myciti, all my FF miles / credit card balances are posted.
so my question is, is there an easier way to check reward points and balances, or do they update it only bi-monthly?

My Diners account balance and detail show up on-line every month. My October 12 statement shows now and has for several weeks. My Club Rewards on-line activity report is also current through October 12. In both cases, it's the same info as my paper statements.
One thing that would improve it would be crrent account info - activity since the last statement date, like many other card companies provide on-line.
