Thanks for posting, I had given up on this when it didn't happen in the summer.

Reason: update
With the recently announced changes to the Chase BA Visa, I thought maybe the deal with the US DC card was killed as part of the deal with Chase, glad to see that's not the case.
Note that as discussed in this thread the new Chase BA Visa benefits may be of great interest to anyone taking advantage of this, if you can run $30k/year through your Chase BA Visa you get a 2-for-1 companion award certificate which can greatly increase the value of the miles you transfer to BA.

How can the companion certificate increase the value of miles transferred? Can you use the companion award with an award ticket?

It appears so. So long as you meet the requirements, two people could fly roundtrip to Europe in first class on BA for 100,000 miles instead of 300,000. Example: 100,000 Diners points convert to 150,000 BA miles, enough for one ticket. Then use the award companion certificate to get a free ticket for the traveling companion. I sure would make sure that points converted from Diners can be used in conjunction with the companion certificate; it appears them can. All travel has to be on BA.
As others have pointed out their companion voucher is for award ticket bookings, it is a benefit they've offered BA AMEX card holders in the UK (and maybe elsewhere too) for a while, and they are now rolling it out to US BA card holders.

I called Diner's yesterday and requested points to be transferred to BA. When I checked my BA account at 6 a.m. this morning the miles had been posted. It doesn't get any faster than that. I don't know either about transferring to your wife's account- I suppose if she is on the Diner's account with you, it would be OK.
