As I'm reading this, it means that in 2009 I have to hit 100k to gift silver, but in 2010 I'll be able to gift that at 75k. I only found the 2009 threshold awards on delta.com, I wonder if they are changing for 2010, since they've moved the 100k awards down to the 75k level.
I see it the same way. My guess is, given that the top "regular" tier is at 125K MQMs now, is that if they continue Threshold Awards at all, it will begin at 150K MQMs in 2010. When 75K MQMs marked the top (PM), it made sense to give more beginning at 100K MQMs, but now that bar would move up. If you look closely, the selectable rewards given at the DM (125K MQMs) level are quite similar to the Threshold Awards earned at 100K and 125K MQMs this year... bonus RDMs, awarding status, gift cards, etc.... but better.

So if I'm understanding this correctly... for example:
2009 I get 120K MQM's. I roll over 45k and use the 100k threshold bonus to gift FO to my daughter.
2010, I start with 45k, then earn 30k from AMEX reserve spending. That gets me PM for 2011 without crediting any of my flying to DL, plus I once again get to gift FO to my daughter.
So, with this scenario, in 2011 I'm PM, daughter is FO yet I didn't credit any 2010 flying to DL, and we have two elites without a dollar in direct revenue for DL.
So if I'm understanding this correctly... for example:

Your assumptions are in line with my understanding of how it would work.
It might be useful to note that earning an extra 5K MQMs in 2009 would net greater perks for both you and others in 2010 (for example, allowing you to gift two SM and one GM status, earning extra RDMs, etc.), but at the cost of being 45K MQMs short in 2010 of being PM (and therefore able to assign your daughter SM) in 2011.
Additionally, while there might not be direct revenue to DL, the MQM activity accretive to their bottom line via indirect revenue to a degree far in excess of selling BIS miles on a 1-for-1 basis.

I am at 100K via NWA after miles and MQMs transferred over clicked on link, fill in my Delta FFN and it complains about cookies so I cannot select my 100K tier choice. Tried on 4 different computers, 3 different browsers and same results no matter what I enter as a frequent flyer number.
At Dl my reward took about a week to show for the 100k mark. Just tried to claim my 125k and it says I have already claimed my rewards for all that I am allowed so I assume it still has not registered my 125k milestone and since I am at 141K now by the end of the month the 150K should be reached.
I'll worry about the rewards then.
I am having same issue except I hit 150K the week before Oct 1st but too late to get in before they shut it down . It is frustrating because I want to gift Gold to my wife and DL has not responded to my email query yet.
I am at 100K MQM from NWA and put in my Delta frequent flyer number and click Submit and nothing happens

I asked Kevin Pinto with DL about threshold bonuses and he replied that it is outsourced to a 3rd party and that they normally send it to them every two weeks.
With the NW/DL platform integration they are waiting for the accounts on both systems to fully integrate and stabilize. They expect this to occur either this week or next so the threshold bonus emails should begin to flow soon.

Tell me if I'm misunderstanding something, what good is DL PM if you don't intend to credit any flying to DL, which I assume means you don't intent to fly DL? Is it just so you can tell people your a DL PM, or keep that on your FT info? I see people say this sort of thing on here all the time and just don't get it?
So who can I convince to gift me SM? Maybe we can make a deal...PM me please I need this medallion status bad, I wasnt able to fly as much this year as normal so I didnt get my SM back, next year I have no doubt I can make it to GM maybe even PM

Yup I am in the same situation and I am getting frustrated. I claimed the 100k, 125k (I think..nothing posted yet but the page claimed I was successful) but every time I go back it comes up with the 100, ans 125k awards but not my 150 and 175...what gives? This used to be so simple (and the miles posted within 1 or 2 minutes) with NW and now I don't even know who to call to claim my 50k! I want those miles and without the NW SWU option they are the only extra I get for going to 250k.
I am in Hong Kong now and when I return this week I will go over 200k and will then be owed 75k miles...DL, insider?? Help?
