Does delta credit expiration date get reset when partial credit is used?

If I have credit from an unused non-refundable ticket of over $1000 and use it in part (for ticket of just $250) will the residual value still have the original expiration date or will the expriation date be reset when I use the credit in part?

I know with United that if credit is used in part that a new voucher is isued for the residual and the new voucher for the residual carries a new expiration date. But believe Delta may be different? Can anyone confirm?
