MR? This 9y/o does sound rather clever. I'm sure he'll be emailing DL asking for credit. He'll probably get it.

Can’t wait to hear that this is young prodigal son of an esteemed Mr. DYKWIA, who then sends in a complaint letter to Delta demanding immediate compensation credit along with extra bonus miles if not a free trip because his kid did not get upgraded. Not to mention the poor lad was not selected for TSA-Pre, AND, missed out on pre-boarding thus no overhead bin room nor pre-departure drink while being stuck in a middle row just behind that last row of EC... Wonder if the boy had to sit in between a loud adult or screaming kid causing the DYKWIA parents to ask for perhaps FC RT certificates to Disneyland to make up for the situation.

Wonder how many miles DL will have to hand over to this family?

I suspect that some GAs and FAs don't pay as much attention when kids board as they should. We've all seen situation where kids or parents have exit row seats and must be moved by FAs before departure. Twice recently I've seen young kids not seated in the same cabin as a parent with the UM fee not having been paid. This shouldn't happen.

This kid obviously did not report a peanut allergy to the GA prior to boarding or to the FA once aboard...
