for it showing now, can I assume my 125K rollover gives me DM for 2014 and they can't change the rules now?
Wish I was that flush in MQMs. My continued happiness with this program in many ways hinges on rollover policies not changing... (And yes, I'll roll with it, so to speak, should it change. I just won't be as happy.) I suppose that you can assume that, but I wouldn't.

Not a good assumption. DM here for 2014 and 2015 but only based on current policy. Rules can and do change but personally would be surprised to see DL dump rollover. Even if they do, seems to me they will grandfather all who have rollover status already. That said, rollover could stop tomorrow.
Because with essentially only two other competing "legacy" carriers left, they have no motivation or reason to keep it going this coming year. I'd be surprised if they did keep it in place.
But I guess we'll find out all the details in about 6 or 7 weeks, when the details of the 2013 program finally gets announced.

They are still competing. Delta considers this a competitive advantage and I have seen NOTHING that indicates that they have changed their mind on this. From the company standpoint, rollover keeps people from fleeing their airline after they have reached max status ....and I think it has mostly worked.
Nice seeing 2014 already showing, but I wish they would go ahead and also post 2015 choice benefits.
Doing away with rollover is unnecessary. It build loyalty and keep many flying with DL, like me. I am DM through Feb 2016. I am happily continuing heavy travel working towards 2016 qualification.

This - as far as I'm aware of DL and LH are the only global carriers that have such a premature soft landing facility integrated in their FFP. However, LH has highly diluted their HON extension certificate by requiring C or F class travel for accumulating HON status miles.
Funny fact: the ladies in our office have identified roll-over as a perfect way of concentrating travels in year T and not loosing status in year T+1 when travels will be slim due to a planned leave (such as being with the kids while being protected from let-gos under one or another government program).

If I have read this correctly and you have rolled over and already have 125K in your account because or rollover, then yes you are totally safe and will be DM until Feb 28th 2015. That can not now change.

+ 1 As many faults at the Sky Peso program has, this is one bright feature that seems to benefit both Delta and its customers.

this is one of the reasons I stay with delta after i hit 125K MQM's. If it wasnt for rollover, I could achieve medallion status on two airlines.

But the value and perks of DM can be changed. With an e-mail at just about any time. If there's ever a big change in the program, DM could mean devalued Medallion.

Exactly.
I hit 25,0059 at the end of November. Had rollover not existed, my last flight of the year (December) would probably have been with US/UA (*A miles are much more valuable) instead of DL.

I hear what you are saying - but then - the only 3 certainties in life are death, taxes and change.

Not sure I agree with the 'competitive advantage' issue. In the past, 'competitive advantage' has meant little and the airline that "had" it backed down to change to the norm or the other airlines added whatever 'competitive advantage' the first airline had. It is very much a monkey see/monkey do industry.
Remember the 'competitive advantage' that AA had with "More Room in Coach" (or something like that)? It went over like a lead balloon and they took it out. Eventually other airlines added economy plus/economy comfort/economy whatever so now AA is bringing back some larger seats. This is but one example of how the industry moves almost in lockstep.
