When scanning boarding pass, two asterisks now appear next to name and status?

Hi all,
Sorry if this was mentioned in the past. I tried scouring FT, but to no avail.

Ever since last week, when the GA scans my BP, there are two big asterisks that appear next to my status and seat number now. The seat is not a bulkhead/emergency exit --there is also no triple beep noise either. This is now consistently occurring. I never saw this prior to 2 weeks ago.
some medallions boarding before me didn't have the asterisks. Am I red flagged by Delta?

Any thoughts?

Thanks all! Have a happy new year ahead!

Maybe it's a new enhancement to show you what status you are and where you are sitting?

New DYKWIA alert feature installed on BP scanner. Lets the GA know who's special

I hope you always wanted to visit Cuba. My guess is that 2 means they're watching you and when you get the 3rd they change your destination to Gitmo.

Remember how The home run record for Roger Maris had asterisks at one point due to his season being longer....

The asterisks on delta signify you are a Amex holder and didn't really fly to get your status.

Question

but I don't have a Delta AMEX, only a regular Plat Amex, could that be the reason for the asterisks?

Quite honestly, I wouldn't look too far into it, unless you start getting random security screening checks at the gate with a fine tooth comb or they start denying you.

Honestly, I never even look at that screen, as I know who I am so I couldn't even tell you if that shows up or not.

Do you have trusted traveler info stored in delta.com?

I noticed that a few weeks ago my trusted traveler number (GE/Nexus) had somehow been moved into the Redress number box.

Not sure that would do what has happened to you, but might be worth checking?

Where's the fun in that? Wild speculation is an FT specialty.
