I am now booked for a flight for tomorrow morning that has 1 more available seat in business class. I am in economy which has no available seats so i was not given a seat. If the flight is full can i get vdb and get a credit even though i have no seat?
Just because you don't have a seat yet doesn't mean you won't get one. Some seats are reserved for assignment at the airport. Other pax may be upgraded to free up seats in economy. Still others will misconnect. Expect to get assigned a seat at checkin or at the gate. If not enough seats open up you can indeed get a VDB without a seat assignment as long as you have checked in on a confirmed ticket.

now i know there is no definitive answer to this but is there a good chance if i vdb they will accept or is there a good chance they wont need me.

1) You are making a conclusion that the flight is overbooked because you don't have an assigned seat. This may not be the case. If you post what flight you are on, others will probably let you know if the flight is even overbooked. With so many seats held for others (economy comfort, preferred, held for depature), it is very common for non-status flyers to not see any available seats and get their seat at the airport
2) If it really is overbooked, you do not increase or decrease your odds of being accepted for VBD if you do/don't have a seat assignment. The key is to be at the gate about 60 minutes prior to departure and let the agent know you want to volunteer

Good luck
Thank you sorry id didn't give the flight number earlier, the flight number is DL 1432 and it departs tomorrow at 8:05 but you can probably figure that out.

EF has it at J1Y5B0 which means DL is willing to sell five more seats at the highest fare. It might be oversold. Or it might not. VDB happens at the departure gate. Be there early and speak with the agent for the best chance of getting VDB if that is what you want.
I'm sorry I'm a newb and have no idea what this means I known you explained it but I still don't understand how they can be selling 5 more seats and be overbooked.
I would recommend checking in online anyways and get your seat assigned at the gate. If you are willing to volunteer, let the gate know. The longer you wait to check in, the higher chances of you being IDB.
I still don't understand the concept of ownership of a seat assignment. Some people think the seat they picked is the seat they purchased. The OP is questioning whether or not he can VDB even if he doesn't have a seat assignment.
If you are confirmed on the flight, you have purchased the right to be aboard that aircraft, with or without seats, not a particular seat assignment.

Yes so I want to get bumped since I'm not in a rush at all but when I tried to check in it gives me an error and I know you guys can't fix that but I was wonder If its even worth checking in yet since I will get more money being idb
It's not "more money" if you IDB. It's a voucher and later flights for those willing to volunteer. IDB allows for the check or voucher option.
That being said, DL is usually really good about getting volunteers over bumping people. Just make sure you aren't the last one to check in, or you could be stuck in a middle seat for that long of a flight.

Would you or anybody else say that I have a good chance of getting bumped on this flight like are the odds with me
