Any idea on when 1) the 2013 program will be announced, and 2) devaluations of already-earned miles (via greater mileage requirements, diminished availability, etc - if these even occur) are likely to take effect?
I'm trying to decide whether to use the ~50K miles in my account now, or wait until the booking window for early 2014 opens up in early 2013.
Everyone was waiting for a big announcement this year and nothing ever came. There is no rule that the program will be changed every year. They seem to change rules as they please, such as the 72 hour rule.

DL does not unveil "the program" for an upcoming year. As MSPeconomist and jdrtravel note, DL changes things as and when they please, usually with no warning. That said, it is unlikely that they would change major things like elite qualification requirements and rollover after the new year has begun and folks have begun earning under the current system.

Agree (sorta). Look at history. The T72 was AUG time range. The change for discounter rewards was same time range this year. I see no monster changes for the 2013 Skymiles year. I see more changes in AUG 2013 if, again huge if, they happen at all it will be for the 2014 Skymiles year.
