Two days ago, flying LAS-ATL, I was offered $600 plus a guaranteed FC seat to take a flight which would depart 5 hours later.
A few minutes ago, I checked in on line for my ATL-JFK-TLV flight and was offered $125 to take a later JFK-TLV flight (which would mean waiting 24 hours).
If Delta believes that many people will agree to wait an extra day for $125 in Delta Dollars, they must be smoking something illegal on Virginia Avenue.
I have gotten this "offer" my last two flights on DL. They start with $50 and finish with $125. Then they say, of course, that DL will choose volunteers who ask for the least amount of compensation. $50, really, to miss a flight? I wouldn't do it for even $125. Just not worth it.
I'm sure it will go up. A few years ago my UIG (Used Italian Girlfriend) and I were flying JFK-TLV and we refused all offers until they hit $600 each, upgrades to Biz Elite, and a hotel for the night. The big selling point for us was the upgrade -- but I already am in the front cabin this time.

They were offering $125 to spend a day waiting in New York City, not Atlanta, correct?
Yesterday on the SFO-DTW flight, they were offering $125 online. At the gate, they went all the way up to $1000. I've never seen them offer so much for a bump. They were oversold by 15 persons.

Sucks to be the guy that clicked "yes" and got his non-stackable $125 DDs...hope one of his traveling companions was on the same flight later that day with $1000 DDs and a FC seat

DL.dumb suggests those lowball amounts @ check in but it's basically worthless. The gate agents are authorized to offer whatever it takes to avoid IDB.
If you're interested in VDB opps then put in an amount and arrive at gate early check in with gate agent and sere what the situation is like. DL will only pay as much as they have to but that's rarely below $200 and at least $400 for a next day flight.
Saturday I volunteered for $400 to bump 3 hours. Then at the flight three hours later they were offering $600 to bump 3-4 hours later than that. Originally both agents were saying they would not be able to fly people out till the next day and get a hotel. I simply said I'll go later today but I HAVE to get home tonight. Since I'm flying to FLL/PBI/MIA I always say if you can get me to any of those airports through whatever connections but they usually still get me to the same airport. This has worked on all three of the bumps I took this year to get me a VDB voucher and still home the same day.
$125? No way unless I really had nothing better in the entire world to do. Or I guess if I wanted/needed to stay another day.

When I flew JFK-LAS on 12/20, I left for the airport 4 of 8 for 10 seats and arrived 5 of 10 for 0. T2 security was a mess and I wound up getting to the gate as boarding started. The GAs said the flight was oversold and they still needed volunteers. I'm guessing IROPs and some IDBs. I would have volunteered but that would have meant flying out the next day...maybe.
