When will DL install in seat monitors to all of their 757's?

I was on a JFK-SJU 757 the other day and suffered with everyone else having to view the movie on an antiquated overhead screen. When will the 757 fleet be totally converted?

I had to deal with those on my ATL-NYC award ticket run on both the 757 to LGA, and the 738 that I flew back from JFK. Will all the 757s get them eventually?

IIRC, that's not in the current plans.

Right, the 757-200's wont be getting seat back video entertainment but the 757-300's will be getting it in the near future.

Considering how they have updated much of their fleet they really should consider installing them on equipment being used for 4+ hour flights.

Based on this thread - A Delta Aircraft Experience Update - it looks like some will keep the overheads.

I agree it'd be nice to have them all retrofitted!

I was on an MD-90 from MSP to PHX yesterday, what a dump of an airplane lol, no video, plugs, nada. I must be flying international too often, only Thai airways has old airplanes like that, but not in biz, that's for sure.

The non modified 763s used international are pretty bad, especially in Y.

Who cares about IFE? Dump it all and save the weight.

Give me a USB port at every seat to charge my smartphone or tablet.

And I got ridiculed on here for complaining about those subpar planes and getting some free skypesos. Delta needs to know these planes are not acceptable for s 10 hour flight.

And I was on a 757 today (ATL-SFO) that had tip-to-tail IFE that, in-between system reboots, might have worked for a total of 90 minutes.

Good thing that I never travel without a book (an analog one at that.)

True. And if DL plans to charge for even basic direct tv channels I'm not interested in IFE anyway. Give me a USB port to charge my iPad and ill be happy!!!

Depends on which ones.

753s will get it.

There are a bunch of a/c that are going next year that will obviously not get it. Newly delivered 739s (replacing 757s) will get it when delivered.

Probably in a few years all of the 757s will get PTVs. No plans for the domestic fleet (738, A319/320, M90) to get PTVs. The focus right now is on the international fleet to get overhauled and that is being worked on heavily.
