The passengers the connector won't help are those who park at one terminal for their departing flight and then find that their return flight arrives at the other terminal if they check luggage. Presumably checked luggage goes to baggage claim of the terminal sed by the arriving flight, so one would then need to walk land side to the other terminal. You can do this without being outdoors very much, but it's a long way from the center of one terminal to the center of the other one.

Yes. Very good point MSP. I think DL will align their flights in each terminal by departure. ATL, etc always depart from D while others are C. Not sure how they could define this though.
I think baggage claim will always be at the terminal of arrival. Do that many ppl really park at LGA?? Thank taxi stand is ever growing... And the buses are always packed.
Who will take over the terminal if USAirways/AA merge for the few slots USAirways has at the terminal if they move to the terminal they are building? Will Delta get more slots/gates to use and get both terminals for themselves?
Glad to hear the connector is ready since it essentially completes the transistion for LGA airport making it an official Delta Hub.
Separately, Delta appears to have taken away priority check in for silver elites at the d terminal. Now there is just sky priority and I wasn't allowed to use that.
