Does DL have a "Global Services" Type Program?

Was on ATL-FLL on THU evening and, for the second time, have seen the same guy board before pre-boards.

The GA started making the general announcements and immediately after the, "in just a moment we will begin boarding our pre-boards," the guy walks up to the GA, hands her his ticket and boards.

Does DL have a Global Services type program or is this guy a DL executive who enjoys overtly boarding before his customers

And yes, he was sitting in Y and was only carrying a brief case.

He was not a FAM or a FLEO (they can board when they get to the gate).

Could be FAA, maybe a DL mechanic. Lots of possibilities.

I would guess a FAM, but they usually demand FC seat such as 2B. Did he have an aisle seat? Did he avoid consumption of alcohol and ideally stay awake/alert with no headphones?

It could have been a non-rev corporate employee? You were in ATL.

Not sure: I was in F and he was in Y.

This my assumption: DL employee.

Then my next question is why is a non-rev employee boarding before pre-boards in such a cavalier manner? There was no subtlety. He walked straight right up from the terminal, past everyone who was waiting and proceeded to GA.

Everyone had that, "who the heck is this" look on their face.

Like I said, this is the second time I have seen him doing this.

Perhaps some sort of supervision? Maybe the flight attendants get supervised and the non-rev needs to be on board prior to any customer? Or something else like that.

Could be, as he claims to travel in DL coach for domestic, although I thinks he books exit row seats.

Can you explain this cavalier manner? Was it a walk, or more of a sashay? What were his arms doing. My only hope is that he was giving you the finger as he walked by.

Mind your business.

+1 - What's all the derision about "non-rev's"? It's a private company and if they want to treat their employees well, why is that any business of anybody else?
