First Flight as Diamond in Coach

Currently in J but the 737s are terrible for sleeping in J so I'm moving to an empty row of 3 in coach. Funny how giving up a seat in J is more appealing.

Welcome to the club. Get some rest

I had the "pleasure" of sitting next to a DM in Y today JFK-SFO. He was very upset that he wasn't UG'd. He repeatedly asked for cocktails and items from food for sale menu and didn't even offer to pay. He scoffed and jangled his card. "I was suppose to be upgraded..." He said that many times!!!!

DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM???

F you. You little entitled jerk(he was about 5'6"... LDS anyone?) I'm rarely part of the WFBF club but I really wanted to say something... Oh my he was fuming the entire taxi to runway for take off.

Why would he be getting free food and cocktails? Was he handing the FA HOOU cards?
Serious DYKWIAshness there.

I am confused more by the availability of three seats together, presumably well after take off than the discomfort of the 737 F product.

Hope the FA wasn't letting him get away with it.

*very* empty flight... In fact this is the least amount of people I've ever seen coming out of BOG including Thanksgiving Day.

On I happier note, I had a JFK-LHR flight in Y.

I had a great seat in economy comfort and told the FA I would try and snag an open row of 3 toward the back. She said no problem and they'd get me a Fast Trak coupon anyway.

At the end one of the coach passengers arrived in that row and I resumed my original economy comfort seat. Service was good (I was actually thanked for being DM/MM), I got my fast trak. Great flight.

Much better than recent flights EWR-LHR on UA. Service much more hit and miss.

LOL! Well my point was that I was so excited about getting Diamond and here I am voluntarily moving to coach.

Maybe your DYKWIA was a refugee from AA, where EXPs are comped F&B in coach.
