Delta - fix your stupid website

Dear Delta:

Why would you change the login fields where one has to enter your skymiles number and PIN, *THEN* click another box to enter your name?

MORONIC.

Wouldn't it be better if you make a suggestion via delta.com email?

they are trying to force you to make a password, which does not require the additional field of inserting ones name. no so moronic...

But people have been reporting being locked out of their accounts after choosing a password, so it seems better to put off choosing the password for now.

I agree with OP

The new website is just hard work

As a Diamond member who has used the website for years why do I have all this beta testing, errors, nonsense, change password stuff. I have work to do...I'm their customer...

Yeap, there are folks on here who love Delta so much that if a flight attendant murdered a passenger they would say "well the flight landed on time" but ignoring the 1% and focusing on a business prop - seriously Delta IT should be ashamed of this untested Beta site.

I agree that the new website sucks. I hate having to put in the confirmation number.

Why are you putting in a confirmation number?

To check my flights. I have to put in my first and last name plus confirmation number every time. My flights to FLL have been changed three times in the last month. If there is an equipment change sometimes they change my set to the window instead of the aisle.

Try typing the first four letters of your new password on the keypad of your Blackberry when calling the 1800 number.....I miss my PIN...

My mileage calculation is all messed up now too. I got 270 miles (mqm and otherwise) for JAX-ATL. What happened to the old minimum 500 per segment? Unless I've missed something serious regarding miles calculations, this website is really messed up.

Just use your old pin as the first 4 characters of your new password.

The old SM# + PIN + NAME was horribly insecure. DL is trying to force everybody to create a real password. Anybody who has the slightest clue is DELIGHTED that DL now allows a real password.

It is also easier to enter password than the ancient PIN+NAME insanity.

The new site has plenty of "issues", but the login is not one.

I disagree with the OP. I think its nice to have that it will slow down anyone trying to get into my account.

I know it'll take a while to get used to and I'm OK with that, but:

Changed password 3 times and still can't log in with it or get it to work when calling in.

Can't change seat assignments (especially with UG)

and worst of all--I couldn't book a flight yesterday. I could see the flights I wanted, but when I proceeded to booking, I received a message that said my session had timed out (only after a few seconds--this happened repeatedly over two days).
