Congrats to Delta. The airlines that filed competing proposals are going to be pretty displeased.

Fortunately, this is that other board

And in that spirit... how long before 2xRDM/MQM promos or MR-worthy special fares?

Maybe if they add a SC or partner lounge to HND, I will consider flying SEA-HND when TYO is my final destination. Otherwise NRT is just a lot nicer.
And I hope this doesn't increase SEA-NRT fares, although I already know they will try to shift TYO passengers to HND...

I thought DL did a good job in their submission rebuffing the BS that UA, AA, and HA put forward in their requests for the slot, so this seems sensible to me. AA and UA were basically arguing the opposite of what they'd claimed in their TPAC JV applications with JL and NH, and I can't imagine DOT took too kindly to that, especially after DL spent page after page after page reminding them of those facts.

There is a very nice (and much nicer than the Sky Club in NRT) lounge that Elite+ have access to at HND.

Does not have one at HND. They won't let you go in the lounge. Only NRT.

This document is actually a pretty interesting read. I especially enjoyed the part where DL suggests that DOT un-immunize UA/NH For those interested: http://www.regulations.gov/#!documen...2010-0018-0298

No, there's one there, though not a DL-owned Sky Club they do let ST E+ in. Not the biggest lounge in the universe, but the pods make a nice place to rest before the 1am LAX departure.

Indeed. The TIAT lounge is quite nice and has in the past been accessible to STE+ members.

JAL ran NRT-KOA for 14 years, ending only in 2010.
