Waiting for de-icing on board lga-ord right now. So far been on board for an hour (nice being upgraded anyways, they just opened up the cabin door to let passengers from the next flight on. Anyone ever seen this before, letting other pax on because a flight's been delayed?

LOL. And on a side note... de-icing in LGA? Man that is a kick square in the nuts to people affected by SSS.
Yup, the north east, just as we are getting back up and nursing that set of cracked ribs from sandy is about to get a swift kick to the jaw from "Winter Storm Athena" (yes I kid you not, they have decided to start naming the nor'easters too).
Once on ValuJet (this was in the 90s), the GA led me down the jetway only to find that the aircraft had already started its pushback. The GA made eye-contact with the captain through the front window of the aircraft. After a pause, the captain decided to pull back up and let me on. I was just an average Joe with no status who showed up late. All eyes were on me when I entered the aircraft, and a few passengers applauded sardonically. I don't know if that would ever happen these days.
