Thumbs up DELTA price match SW AIR 3 day sale $35 each way!

If you have not seen this yet there are some killer deals starting at $35 each way and DL is matching SW on routes!

Mileage run anyone!

http://www.southwest.com/

Start to look at dates with SW site (month view) and then check DL site. Very very nice!^

Why would Delta match fares on Air Namibia*? (kidding)

I wish that I was back in the US to take part

Thank goodness. Fares were ridiculously expensive after the holidays and this promo managed to cut my costs in half. I saw AirTran was doing it so I just patiently waited for DL to match.

Thank you!

Man, great post DGF. How did you find out about this? I'm PM and fly out of BNA where Southwest has a strong presence. I never hear about these things on my own. Guess that's why I come on here to find out how to save some dough. Thanks..saved me a few hundred bucks! ^

Of course, just when I thought the $140 I snagged last week for DTW-BWI was a smoking deal...

*don't shoot me* I get the Southwest emails (we fly Southwest for my husband's work and - before I made GM on Delta this year - for leisure as well when the fares were really good) Anytime I notice a SW sale and I'm planning a trip, I immediately check Delta's fares again.

We're planning a trip to New Orleans for work in early February - when I saw the SW fares yesterday, I hopped to Delta to see what their fares were - tada, also cheap ($200 cheaper per person than last week when I priced the same itinerary) Yippee^

Although Mardi Gras does not fall until Feb. 21 this year, it is always worth checking for parades and events in early February for your MSY trip. I hope you enjoy your visit!!! Even if it's work-related, there will probably be time for a parade or two, right?
