Yes, but they saved us from the possibility of children and old ladies from hiding devices in their underwear.

I applaud the passenger for doing something about it and for the crew getting the plane safely on the ground. What a psycho...

I love his quote at the end of the article. At least he knows it.

Wonder how she just happens to have the number of the flight attendants ?

I'm wondering if she just typed it out and showed it to them to avoid saying anything out loud and raising suspicion?

That was not exactly flirting.

Here's what I wonder about:

If they are in the air how can an FA receive a text, and how did the pax know the FA's number? Or did she just type it out on her phone but not send, then show the message to an FA? I'd think showing a phone to an FA would attract more attention than just talking quietly.

The blog states she handed her phone to the FA on the jumpseat as she left the lav - "Thank God the flight attendant was in the jump seat." Yes we ALL agree the dude was crazy but HOW did he get the items on the PLANE?! That's what concern's me the most, as well as what he said was in the canister.

If you read the replies at the bottom of the article, it says that she typed the message on her phone, and handed the phone to an FA. She got the phone back later.

Because the TSA is worthless and everything they do is security theater. The skies are no safer because of them.
