KVSTool - Enhanced DL Award Availability for Elite SkyMiles Members

KVS has launched a beta for enhanced DL award availability for Elite SM Members. Looks to be a very promising new feature that will greatly improve the usefulness of the award search. Big for making this happen.

The request form is available on the KVSTool homepage at http://www.kvstool.com/.

Step outside the walled garden, where you pay for everything, including air, and it will be.

All hail our lord Jobs

Duh... CrossOver or Parallels

I guess I should give KVS another try. I wasn't all too thrilled with the award search results (well, more so, the prices!) when I tried it a few weeks ago...

Haha... seems like more of a Delta complaint. I think it'll be nice to see the enhanced availability. Should help somewhat with the prices too.

Thanks. I was just wondering if/how KVS handled enhanced award availability. Requested the beta so maybe I'll get to try it out.

My guess is there's now a SkyMiles entry in the settings tab that holds your credentials, and that it just logs in as you to get the data.

That would be okay, but I hope there are options to check different medallion level availability since I often look for award tix for other/no medallion friends/family.

Send a comment... KVS is usually pretty good about responding. The enhanced availability feature is one I asked for a few months ago, so the comments do get noticed.

There is, in fact, a check box that allows you to toggle search results to show "Elite" award availability or standard availability. I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that award availability was the same for all Delta elites, regardless of tier (and it only applies to the economy cabin).

If I understand correctly, the "Elite" check box replicates the functionality of the "I am traveling" check box on Delta.com's Award Ticket Reservation page -- assuming you've added your DL credentials in the KVS Tool's Settings tab.

Our understanding is that enhanced availability varies by medallion tier, but (as you note) only applied to economy class travel.

That explains a lot. I only ever search for C. I thought it was delta.dumb that always showed the same availability regardless of being signed in. It would be nice if elites got some exclusive biz seats.
