Delta/Alaska Airlines - Double Miles

I have a question regarding the ongoing Delta/Alaska double miles promotion (https://www.delta.com/pet/alaskaoffer0810/pet/main).

I have an existing itinerary with Delta return trip Asia later this month (I live in Japan). Basically I would like to add an Alaska Airlines segment from SJC-LAX to my itinerary. However, when I try adding the flight in Delta's system, the only flights that come up are Delta coded (though many are operated by Horizon). In order to qualify for the promotion, I would need the flight to be Alaska or Horizon coded as well, correct?

I looked all over the place for an official thread on the Alaska Airlines/Delta promotion, but I could not find one. Guess I will have to look around some more, thank you
