Yeah, they got a little preturbed with each other a few months ago and stopped allowing this. My last free baggage on CO was in late January and I think the decision was a few weeks after that. I cancelled a family trip on CO and rebooked on DL because the baggage fees would have more than eaten up the fare savings. IMHO, if the marketing guys at CO and DL were on their "A" game they would eliminate the baggage fees for the other company's elites until the October transistion of CO to try to gain an elite or two from the other carrier, or at a minimum build good will for future business.
Programs: DL Plat/CRC/RW, UA Premier (Exec soon!), Marriott Silver, SPG Gold, a few others too...

From what it sounded like, it was a game of tit-for-tat. DL has always charged OAL ST Elites the bag fees on domestic flights, so once the baggage alignment with NW was done, CO came back and said no more free bags for DL/NW elites since their elites don't get it when on DL/NW.
