Not sure why you can't select the 150k award, but after that there are no choices- you just get the 25k bonus. Last year they posted automatically for me, although I don't recall how long it took.
It seems to me that a lot of people are having success with choosing the Skymiles options. Has anyone selected "gifting" a friend Silver Medallion? If so, how long does it take for your friend’s status to reflect Silver Medallion? After making the selection, I was prompted to a screen which said 6-8 weeks, but was curious to know if anyone’s FO Gift processed any sooner. Thanks

I did gift FO to someone, but I had to go through customer care. They were reluctant at first and told me that the website issues had been repaired.
I am have requested GM twice now for the 150K tier, and nothing yet. However, it is still early--only 2 weeks in the process.
Well, I finally got tired of waiting and checking everyday to see if I could register any additional threshold bonuses. I have received the bonuses for 100K and 125K, but have been unable to get beyond those levels even though I am over 225K MQMs now.
I sent an email to customer care last night asking about the situation and this AM, had the following response:

I have the same web site problem as "Luggage Tag" except lowering my internet security settings does not solve the problem. It asks me for my Skymiles number over and over and doesn't get past that screen. I called DL last Thursday and they referred me to web site support. Web site support claimed that they couldn't help me other than to submit a problem report. She didn't attempt to debug the problem at all (didn't ask which browser I was using or anything)-- actually she seemed kind of baffled by what I was telling her. She also asked me to use the "Feedback" link on DL.com to report the problem. I received an automated response from my feedback request and have heard nothing since.

Just called web site support again. They tell me that I need to receive an email stating that I've passed the threshold before I can attempt to redeem the bonus online. It's been 5 days since I've passed the threshold. How long has it taken others to receive an email afther passing the threshold?

It can take up to 2 weeks according to SMS. The 150K email did come a little more than a week after passing the threshold. I requested GM for my wife on July 7. I will wait the full 6 weeks before going the route of writing in via DL.com again. I did receive the 100K and 125K awards only after writing in. They swore the system was "fixed" then.
I will be patient and wait a few more weeks and respond back in here with confirmation that the system either worked or did not in my case.
Today, 5 calendar days and 3 business days after receiving the above email; I went back to the Threshold Bonus link and was finally able to register for all the bonuses for which I have qualifed so far.
If you've waited over a month without an email, I'd email customer service. They seem to be on top of this glitch.

My father is a current GM, but will not fly enough to re qualify for next year. If I gift him GM status this month with my 150,000 MQM threshold reward, will it do anything (such as give extend GM until February 2011) or will it still expire in February 2010?

It should last until 2011, but why not gift him in Jan 2010?

Interesting reading these recent posts on the Threshold bonuses. I have an elderly ill mom who does not fly much but will be over the next 1 1/2 years , due to many family functions. I could not make up my mind if I wanted 15,000 Skymiles or wanted to gift her Silver Medallion. I decided to do the latter.
SO........... Today I chose my 100,000, 125,000, 150,000, and 175,000 Threshold bonuses. Each time I chose a bonus, it kept directing me to the next threshold bonus for which I was entitled. (I am currently at 193 K).
I WAS ASKED to request the 25,000 mile bonus for the 175,000 threshold bonus. Based on what others have said, I will see if I need to choose this each time I fly another 25 K. I will find out in a few weeks for 200K. BTW, I am NOT (yet, at least!) an EP.

Good luck on the EP invite- it is revenue based, not MQM. Although I also pass 200k, I don't get the invite, because I pay for every ticket out of my own pocket, so its mostly cheap Int'l sLUT fares for me...
