To those for whom this worked, did you get a confirmation email after you made your selection?

I got the same error and I went back in and chose again, no confirmation email just a page that said thanks for choosing, so I guess I'm just waiting. I'll pass 125K this week so it shouldn't be long before I can choose that one. Last year I had around 200k when the thresholds where announced and it let me choose 3 or 4 at once, so I figure if it didn't go through, I can choose it at the next level.

BTW, I choose to give Silver to my son as my wife wants Gold from 150k. They both travel enough that the free bags alone will make it worth it.

No email yet - Are they doing website notifications?

Hi Folks,

I hit >110k MQMs back in Mar and have been flying UA ever since to renew 1k before switching back to DL (should happen by mid June or so). I never received an email about the threshold rewards. As I recall, in previous years they had website popups that informed us of threshold rewards as well. Are they doing that?

What should I do - Call SMS?

Same thing happened to me. I downloaded IE8 but that made no difference nor does downloading the website certificate. My system crashed with IE8 on some other websites, so I've removed IE8. I received the below after I told them there was no change to the upgrade. Made no difference using another computer either.

They were offering carryover MQMs, which essentially is an MQM bonus with a time shift. However, I don't see the offer any longer.

In April, I received an email stating this:

We're pleased to announce that you've reached 125,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles—and earned a 2009 Medallion Threshold Reward.

Enjoy your choice of:
• 20,000 Bonus Miles
• 10,000 Carryover MQMs*
• 8 Delta Sky Club™ One-Day Passes
• $100 Marriott Bonus Bucks Coupon
Please log in to claim your reward.

*Carryover MQMs may only be selected once throughout the 2009 SkyMiles Medallion program timeframe. For example, if you select the 7,500 Carryover MQMs at the 100,000 MQM threshold level, you will not be able to select Carryover MQMs at any other subsequent program threshold.

But this month (and strangely, after I had already selected my rewards for 100K and 125K in April), I received another email stating this:

We're pleased to announce that you've reached 125,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles—and earned a 2009 Medallion Threshold Reward.

Enjoy your choice of:
• 20,000 Bonus Miles

In other words, the "carryover" options have been removed. The website no longer references them. I had made my selection assuming that I'd be able to choose the carryovers when I hit 150K MQMs (soon), but now it's gone.

Anyone know what happened?

Update...

After a few days of trying over and over again to select my bonus with similar disappointing results, I sent an email to Customer Service today about the glitch. Within a couple of hours, an agent phoned me to discuss the problem. She had the web desk on the phone with us and was reporting the problem to them.

She told me she had one other email last week reporting the same issue, but realized that it was still early in the year for this to be widely noticed. She wanted to get it fixed now before the wave of 100K+ flyers starting emailing about the problem as more and more qualify later in the year. I told her that all my colleagues who had tried to chose got the same results as did I.

She said that she would enter my selection and make sure I get the bonus miles...but, I'd still prefer a confirmation email.

That other email was probably me. My bonus miles were posted yesterday a few days after I got the email back from them saying they would manually post them.

When I got home from work, I had an email from her confirming the selection and assuring me she had entered my selection. She also wrote, "The Delta Technology Department is aware of this issue and will be working on a fix to resolve it. There also may be a problem with the vendor company that is managing this promotion for Delta."

Wow. It's almost become a cliché how DL rolls out these things and more often than not there's some sort of glitch. How do they not beta test the redemption process before the emails start rolling out??

Got mine today, too. I wrote no follow-up emails, but I did have trouble registering for the promo and required help from the CS desk to get it done. Happy that this can be put to bed...at least for me.

Is it me or is the Marriott Bucks thing a joke?! Does ANYONE select that as their option?

I haven't done the math but I usually convert my Marriott points to DL SM. Also it seems like the hotel programs have a lot higher thresholds when it comes to determining how many hotel points to redeem for a one nights stay. I also like Starwoods, HHonors and Priority. My feeling is they feed my addiction to obtain SM.

I almost always credit to DL but I do have a small amount of NW EQM activity from early in the year that will likely put me over a threashold later this year when the DL/NW MQMs and EQMs are combined. So, any opinions on whether it will count as reaching a threashold if I only make it after the accounts are combined?

How long after you reached the threshold did it take to get the e-mail asking you to selct your award?
